Dan represents individual and entity clients in real estate, estate planning and business transactions. His real estate practice includes residential and commercial development, purchase/sale transactions, issuing title insurance, leasing, mortgager-based financing, land use planning and eminent domain.
Dan received his B.B.A. in accounting (summa cum laude) from the University of North Dakota in 1987 and is a Certified Public Accountant. Dan graduated with Distinction from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1990, where he earned Order of the Coif. He is licensed to practice law in North Dakota and Minnesota.
Dan is named as one of North Dakota's leading real estate lawyers by Chamber's USA. He is also the only Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys located in North Dakota.
Dan is a native of Fargo-Moorhead. He and his wife, Michelle, have two sons. Dan's family enjoys outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing and skiing. Dan is a coach for and a board member of the Fargo All-City Youth Hockey Association, and he enjoys coaching other youth sporting teams. Dan also volunteers in various capacities at Fargo Oak Grove Lutheran School.
