Corey R. Elmer

Corey practices business and corporate law and real estate in both the Moorhead and Fargo offices. He advises individuals and businesses on a wide range of commercial and real estate matters. Corey is skilled at drafting contracts, negotiations, public speaking, and counseling clients to successful resolutions of their issues. He is licensed to practice law in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Prior to joining the firm, Corey represented clients before the Minnesota Legislature and state agencies as a lobbyist for a St. Paul law firm.
Corey obtained his education both in the United States and abroad. He received Bachelor of Arts degrees from Minnesota State University Moorhead, summa cum laude, and the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, with honours. Corey graduated cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Civic participation is important to Corey. He serves on the Board of the Moorhead Rotary Club, the regional advisory council for Minnesota Public Radio, and the Minnesota State Arts Board, representing Minnesota's Seventh Congressional District.
Corey is the recipient of a 2005 Marshall Memorial Fellowship from the German Marshall Fund of the United States. Minnesota State University Moorhead awarded Corey its Outstanding Young Alumnus Award in 2003.
A native of Evansville, Minnesota, Corey's family owned the local six-lane bowling alley. Corey and his wife Brenda live in Moorhead with their two sons, Christian (4) and Jack (2). In their spare time, Corey and Brenda enjoy traveling and keeping up with their kids.
