John C. Kapsner

John practices in our Bismarck office. His areas of concentration include commercial litigation, professional negligence and insurance defense, and health care law. He also enjoys handling "unusual" cases, where the issues are not frequently litigated in North Dakota. John is a 1973 graduate of Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana. He has been a North Dakota Special Assistant Attorney General and an enforcement attorney for the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
He is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Big Muddy Bar Association and the State Bar Association of North Dakota. He is a long time member of the North Dakota Supreme Court Joint Procedure Committee.
John and his wife, Carol Ronning Kapsner, have two children: Mical, an attorney in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Caithlin, a database manager in Salem, Oregon.
