Edward F. Klinger

Ed Klinger has an extremely varied practice. He practices in the firm's Business Law Practice Group, the Estate Planning and Probate Group, and the Employment Law and Education Law Practice Groups. His practice ranges from bankruptcy and debtor/creditor relations to employment law, education law, and legal malpractice, among others. Ed has been chosen by his peers to be included in the books "Best Lawyers in America" (for bankruptcy) and "Guidebook to Law and Leading Attorneys" in Minnesota (for both commercial litigation and employment law), and has been selected as a "Superlawyer" by the Minnesota publication, "Law and Politics".
Ed is a 1971 graduate of Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri. Following graduation, Ed served for one year as a law clerk for Judge Charles J. Vogel of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, the federal appeals court for much of the Midwestern region.
A 1962 graduate of DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx, New York, he attended Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, graduating in 1966 with a degree in history. Ed served in the Peace Corps in Turkey and entered law school at the end of his Peace Corps service.
Ed is married and is the father of a son and daughter and two step-children. He keeps active when not practicing law, enjoying time playing racquetball and golf, working out at the YMCA, reading and traveling.
