Maurice G. McCormick

Maurice's primary practice is serving business clients, organizing businesses, contract drafting, and litigation, with an emphasis in construction law. He also is involved in estate planning and tax court litigation. Maurice joined the firm in 1971 after graduating from Marquette University Law School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Maurice's undergraduate degree is in Business Administration, also from Marquette University. Maurice currently teaches a course in construction law at MSUM.

Maurice has been an active member of the Fargo- Moorhead community. He was one of the original organizers and a member of the Board of Directors of the Fargo Youth Commission, a board member and past president of Birthright of Fargo-Moorhead, a board member and past president of the Fargo- Moorhead Symphony, and a board member and president of Nokomis.

Maurice and his wife, Joy, have four children: Elizabeth, Philip, Georgia, and Julia. In addition, they have been foster parents for over 25 newborn babies.

In his spare time, Maurice enjoys golf, tennis, and classical music.
