[nap_names id=”FIRM-NAME-1″] is pleased to announce the addition of former Disciplinary Counsel Brent Edison to the firm. Edison has joined the firm’s Fargo office, where his practice focuses on civil litigation, trial and appellate practice, professional responsibility and liability, and natural resources litigation.

Before joining the firm, Edison headed the Office of Disciplinary Counsel, where he investigated and prosecuted claims of ethical misconduct by North Dakota lawyers and judges. Prior to his work at the Office of Disciplinary Counsel, Edison practiced for eleven years as a member of a regional litigation firm. A client of the firm, Workforce Safety & Insurance, hired Edison to lead its legal department and promoted him to the position of executive director and CEO.

Edison has extensive experience in civil litigation. He has tried jury cases to verdict in North Dakota, Minnesota and U.S. District Court and has argued over 60 appeals before the North Dakota Supreme Court.

Edison received his undergraduate degree from North Dakota State University and graduated with distinction from the University of North Dakota School of Law. He has also attended regional and advanced trial advocacy training sessions of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.
