Vogel Law Firm is pleased to announce the addition of Justin Hagel to the firm. Justin is an associate attorney in the Bismarck office and concentrates his practice in the area of commercial and civil litigation. He assists clients involved in commercial disputes, private litigation, or regulatory issues.
Justin is a graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Law and earned the distinction of being elected to the Order of the Coif. While there, Justin served as the editor in chief of the North Dakota Law Review and served as a legislative intern for the North Dakota Senate Finance and Taxation Committee as well as the Senate Transportation Committee. He served as a legal intern in the office of Judge Ralph Erickson of the United States District Court of North Dakota. After graduation, he served as a law clerk to Chief Justice Gerald W. VandeWalle of the North Dakota Supreme Court.
Before attending law school, Justin graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Dakota with a bachelor of arts degree in political science and honors studies. He studied abroad in Shanghai, China and held an internship with the U.S.D.A.'s Foreign Agriculture Service Office located there. He later worked in Washington, D.C. as a legislative correspondent for Senator Byron Dorgan and later as a legislative aide for both Congresswoman Nancy Boyda (KS-02) and Congressman Bart Stupak (MI-01).
Justin grew up in Napoleon, ND working on a family farm and in construction. He spends his spare time in Bismarck golfing and woodworking.
