Joshua Swanson’s practice is centered primarily on litigation where he focuses on energy and natural resource law, commercial litigation, and plaintiff’s law. Before joining the firm, Joshua served as a law clerk to the seven judges of North Dakota’s Northwest Judicial District based in Minot and Williston. Prior to that, during law school, he clerked at one of Omaha, Nebraska’s largest corporate and estate planning law firms. A proud native of Maddock, North Dakota, Joshua resides in Fargo. He graduated magna cum laude as one of the McGrath North scholarship recipients from the Creighton University School of Law. Joshua received undergraduate degrees in political science and history, with honors, from North Dakota State University.
Kevin Mason is an Iowa native who was educated at the University of Iowa, Case Western Reserve University School of Law and at the Georgetown University Law Center. Before he joined [nap_names id=”FIRM-NAME-1″], Kevin worked in Washington DC, in Poland and Ukraine, where he represented venture capital and technology investors, securities and commodities brokers, local governments, non-profits, and agribusiness concerns. Kevin’s practice focuses on banking, securities and corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, oil and gas, agribusiness, and also secured lending and leasing transactions. He has been a member of the New York State Bar since 2000 and the North Dakota State Bar since 2013.
Peter Welte has a depth of legal experience and a broad practice, with an emphasis in business and agricultural law, criminal defense, estate planning, and local governmental law. He joined [nap_names id=”FIRM-NAME-1″] in 2015, establishing the firm’s presence in Grand Forks County. Prior to that, Peter had been in private practice, and had most recently served as the elected State’s Attorney of Grand Forks County since 2002. Peter received his undergraduate degree in Agricultural Economics from North Dakota State University in 1989. He worked for the United States Department of Agriculture before attending the University of North Dakota School of Law, graduating with distinction in 1997.
