Drew J. Hushka

Drew has been with Vogel Law Firm since 2014.  He earned his bachelor of science degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice, cum laude, from North Dakota State University, and his law degree from Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law.  There he served as Editor-in-Chief of the school’s Yearbook on Arbitration and Mediation and as vice-president of the Phi Delta Phi legal honors society. 

Drew’s practice centers on bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, and commercial litigation. He regularly represents banks and other financial institutions in collections, secured lending disputes, and bankruptcy matters. He also represents debtors, and understands how these cases look from every side of the table. 

Drew also maintains an active appellate practice in both civil and criminal cases. He has appeared before the North Dakota Supreme Court, the Eighth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. 

Drew writes and speaks on bankruptcy and litigation topics. His work has appeared in the North Dakota Law Review and the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Bulletin. He also presents the annual case law update at the State Bar Association of North Dakota’s Indigent Defense Seminar, and serves on the North Dakota Pattern Jury Instruction Commission. 

Drew currently lives in Fargo with his wife and their two children. In his spare time, Drew enjoys going to the lakes, cooking, and watching sports.
