Meet Matthew

Matthew is a corporate and real estate attorney and the chair of Vogel’s Business Practice Group. His practice focuses on real estate and business transactions, corporate law and secured financing. Matthew assists clients with all aspects of their businesses, including formations, governance, mergers and acquisitions, and contract review. His real estate practice includes handling purchase and sale transactions and commercial leases, and advising borrowers and lenders in connection with commercial financing.

Prior to joining Vogel in 2011, Matthew graduated first in his class from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he was a Managing Editor of the Hamline Law Review, as well as the winner of a national championship in the Judge John R. Brown Admiralty Moot Court Competition. While in law school, Matthew interned for the Honorable Mary A. Yunker, Tenth Judicial District of Minnesota, and externed for the Honorable Paul A. Magnuson, United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. Matthew received his undergraduate degree from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.

When he is not working, Matthew enjoys hockey, hiking, swimming, hunting, fantasy football and spending time with his family.
