How Long Do I Have to File a Personal Injury Lawsuit?
In the state of North Dakota, you have six years from the date the injury occurred to file a lawsuit. Wrongful death lawsuits have a statute of limitations of only two years, so it is important to keep track of the deadline.
In Minnesota, the statute of limitations for personal injury lawsuits is also six years, which a few exceptions; and wrongful death lawsuits have a limit of three years.
